We’re excited to share that the roof on the new Parkinson’s Therapy and Community Hub has now been fully insulated and replaced — a major milestone in the transformation of this vital space. Insulating and replacing the old roof was a necessary upgrade, as the previous structure offered little protection from heat, cold, and noise. The new insulated roof has significantly improved the comfort of the space for therapy sessions and community gatherings, while also increasing energy efficiency by helping to regulate indoor temperatures year-round. This progress has been made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Sunshine Coast Council and the incredible support of our community through donations to the Building Future Growth Fund in 2024.
We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who has already contributed to our Restoring Hope, Growing a Vision building fund. Your generosity is helping turn this vision into a reality — creating a welcoming, purpose-built space for therapy, connection, and community.
With continued support and sufficient funding, we’re hopeful that Stage 1 can be completed later this year — allowing us to move in without any disruption to therapy services. This initial investment will set us up for the long term, helping us establish a vibrant, sustainable community centre in Buddina.
If you have the capacity to make a tax-deductible donation to our Building Fund, or would like to help spread the word, please visit our “Restoring Hope, Growing a Vision” webpage.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
