Speech Pathologists play a key role in the multidisciplinary care team supporting people living with Parkinson’s.
This week, Restoring Hope Parkinson’s Therapy was excited to once again welcome Speech Pathology students to our Student Open Day at the RHPT Clinic. The day offered a valuable hands-on opportunity to deepen their understanding of how speech therapy can benefit people with Parkinson’s.
In preparation, the students completed the SPEAK OUT!® Online Training Program, developed by the Parkinson Voice Project. Then on Wednesday, our experienced Speech Pathology team shared their insights from working with people with Parkinson’s, before guiding students through mock SPEAK OUT!® sessions where they could put their training into practice.
It was an incredibly positive day, full of insightful learning, meaningful connections and lots of INTENT!
