Join us for a special evening of Christmas Carols presented by Restoring Hope Parkinson’s Therapy “Choir of Sound INTENT” and featuring The Maleny Harp Ensemble and Salvation Army Band (Nambour).

2025 Student Open Day (Wednesday, 17 September 2025)
Restoring Hope Parkinson’s Therapy (RHPT) will soon again host a Student Open Day, welcoming Speech Pathology students to gain hands-on experience in Parkinson’s therapy.
Students will complete the Parkinson Voice Project’s SPEAK OUT!® training before taking part in mock sessions using the SPEAK OUT!® program. They’ll see firsthand how speech therapy helps restore voices and confidence in people living with Parkinson’s.
It promises to be a day of learning, speaking, singing, and connection — all with INTENT!

2025 Benevolent Bear Auctions (27 July to 10 August 2025)
With thanks to Lorraine Dippelsmann, of Fig Tree Hollow Bears, for once again sharing her incredible bear making abilities, we are excited to share that we have three bears in this year’s Benevolent Bear Collection.
Meet Archibald, Elizabeth and Gizmo – three handcrafted, bespoke bears created with a very special purpose to raise funds for Restoring Hope Parkinson’s Therapy and the work we do to restore the lives of those impacted by Parkinson’s.
The auctions for the 2025 Benevolent Bears begin online from 27 July, ending with a live auction at the Annual Fundraising Celebration on 10 August.

Restoring Hope Parkinson’s Therapy’s Annual Fundraising Celebration (10 August 2025)
Come enjoy an afternoon with us at The Barn on Flaxton. Enjoy coffee and cake (all generously donated by The Barn on Flaxton), listen to our Choir of Sound INTENT, and enjoy the fundraising festivities throughout the auctions, raffles and sale of items all donated by local businesses.
All funds raised at this event go directly to our Restoring Hope Parkinson’s Therapy charity.
$15 per person includes coffee and cake.

RHPT’s Annual Fundraising Celebration (7 September 2024)
Our annual RHPT Fundraising Celebration held at The Barn on Flaxton is happening again on 7 September 2024.
We have a wide variety of items available for auction thanks to the generosity of local businesses and individuals. Included in the auctions will be Benevolent Bear, “Peter” with his creature friend “Frederick the frog”, as well as hampers, gift vouchers, special gift items and more!
RHPT’s very own Choir of Sound Intent will also be performing during the afternoon.
$15 per person, includes coffee and cake generously provided by The Barn on Flaxton.
All money raised goes directly to supporting the work of RHPT.

Benevolent Bear Auctions (30 June – 7 September)
The auctions for the 2024 Benevolent Bears run from 30 June to 7 September with a mix of live auctions and online auctions.
Lorraine Dipplesmann of Fig Tree Hollow Bears, has generously handcrafted a total of seven unique bears for the 2024 Collection, each of which have their own special creature friend. The bespoke bears are fully jointed, made of mohair and have glass eyes.
These special bears have a special mission. All funds raised from their auctions go directly towards supporting people living with Parkinson’s and the work of Restoring Hope Parkinson’s Therapy. Click here to discover the previous collections.

Salute to the ANZAC (27 April 2024)
The Parkinson’s Choir of Sound Intent Sing-A-Long Group are proud to bring you the most challenging production yet with songs and music from the first World War to today’s well known Australian songs. This is with the support of the 2nd Light Horse Regiment – Woombye Troop, The Salvation Army Band Nambour Corp, and all the Volunteers.
Come and sing along with us and also listen to excerpts from letters written home by Anzacs, some of whom never made it back.

1,000,000 Steps Ahead of Parkinson’s (21-22 April 2023)
RHPT volunteers join the passionate group of advocates including state Government, Nurses, support group coordinators, community leaders and Police officers to take part in the inaugural 1,000,000 Steps Ahead Of Parkinson’s. The 30km hike through the Sunshine Coast national parks takes two days, finishing at the Mapleton Markets held at 31 Obi Obi Rd. Navigating some of the Coast’s steepest terrain, the journey symbolises the difficult journey of someone newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s.
