
Cathryn Shapter has over 40 years experience as a speech pathologist in both Australia and the UK having graduated with a Bachelor of Speech Therapy from the University of Qld in 1982. She also holds a Masters in Healthcare Leadership (Southern Cross University). Cathy has worked in many health settings throughout her career , including 10 years at Townsville General Hospital and 18 years at Caloundra & Nambour Hospitals.
Cathy has a particular interest in rehabilitation and neurological disorders, particularly Parkinson’s Disease. Cathy has many years of experience in this area and has undertaken certification training in a number of different speech pathology techniques for the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease. Cathy loves the opportunity to be part of the team at Restoring Hope Parkinson’s Therapy offering our specialized service to help people with Parkinson’s Disease to live their best lives.
